Liz Earle 3 step Regime, Cleanse, Tone and Moisturise. £41.00 (Normal retail value, £59.00)
I have been using the Liz Earle cleanse and polish for two years now, and with confidence I can say that it has defiantly been the most effective cleansers and exfoliators I’ve ever used. Recently up until Christmas I had been using it on and off, as many users of the product will know that it does take a small bit of effort, as I like to first take off my makeup with a baby wipe and then use this. The product acts great on its own, however I have been eyeing up the £40.00 skincare set for months. I just believe that it is amazing value for the incredible and effective products you receive. I previously have been using various drugstore cleansers, toners and moisturisers, however I wanted to try something a little more high end and organic. Throughout the autumn months I used the Clarins cleanser and toner, which worked well with my skin and did their job, however I still had the familiar ongoing hankering after the Liz Earle products.
Liz Earle, cleanse and Polish, £14.25
Within the set you get the cleanse and polish, which is seen above. The product can be used day and night for a good strong exfoliator and to keep your skin clean and polished throughout the day, or can be used just in the morning or evening. The product comes out of the pump, which is handy for travel as it means you can just pop it in your bag and wouldn’t need to worry about leakage. The consistency of the product is quite thick and creamy, it has a slight spa scent to it, and you can tell it holds natural ingredients from the scent.
Directions for Use:
1. Pump a generous amount onto fingers and massage into skin (you an do this over your makeup) until your makeup has melted fully away from the skin
2. Take your cloth and plunge it into hot water, I find the hotter the water the better, however be careful not to scold yourself or your skin. Take cloth and slowly, in circular motions wipe the cleanser off your face to reveal silky smooth and incredibly clean skin, do this until the entire product is off the face.
3. Splash face with luke warm-cold water until all excess is off.
liz Earle, Instant Boost Skin Tonic, £12.50
The Instant Boost Skin tonic, also known as 'toner' also comes as part of the set, and works well in conjunction with the cleanse and polish, it allows the skin to breath and you can really feel it refresh and tone the skin once you sweep it over the face and neck. I feel this toner really has something special over other drugstore as well as familiar high end toners, the smell is very fresh and organic, and it does not sting the skin, it gives a mild tingle which lets you know that its working and leaves a sheen on the skin after use.
Directions for use:
1. Pour a small amount on to a cotton pad
2. Sweep cotton pad all over face and neck
3. Leave to dry slightly before applying moisturiser.
Liz Earle, Repair Moisturiser, Normal/combination £18.75
And finally the moisturiser, probably the most important step in the skincare regime. The Liz Earle skin repair moisturiser is great for all skin types but is particular aimed at youthful skin (check out the mature skincare range on the website) The product comes in quite a large jar and has a good depth to it so you can be sure that you are getting your moneys worth. The product essentially smells very similar to both the toner and the polish. The consistency is thick and easy to rub into the skin; it is also a great base for foundation. This moisturiser acts as both a day and night product, which is great as it means I don't have to buy a separate night moisturiser. You do not need a great deal of this as it spreads quite widely and is very thick that too much may make your skin slightly oily.
